What is RPL? ‘Credit transfer’ is a term that had been used for a long time by several educational organizations. It is related to earning credit from several studies which at the end form a new qualification. This term has been replaced now by RPL that stands for ‘Recognition of Prior learning’ which is a formal recognition of your previous knowledge and experience by transferring them into a qualification What is Skills Recognition? What are the skills recognized by RPL? Any skill, knowledge and/or experience you have previously gained on-the-job or of-the-job through trainings and workshops or through life experience such as voluntary, charitable or leisure work qualify you for RPL. RPL qualifies any informal and/or non-classroom based learning through a qualification from reputable Australian nationally recognized organizations (RTOs). Skills recognition, RPL and overseas experience Is International experience recognized through RPL? Yes. RPL recognizes both Australian and international experiences. It does not matter where you gained your experience from as long as it is supported by experience certification and reference documents that are related to the qualification you intend to earn.
